I have been doing group training program for 6 years now and have improved my overall strength (especially upper body and core); took 12 minutes off my previous personal best marathon time (ran in May 2007) but more impressively 20 minutes off the last two previous marathon times. September 6, 2009: I did it! I reached my goal of qualifying for Boston. Training three times a week and completing my running program, I qualified for Boston in Sacramento with a time of 4:05.38.
I also went from finishing at level 6 on the beep test to a 9!
