Mother, personal trainer, Precision Nutrition level 1 coach, and owner of Inspiration Training.
I am mother of three young children, a business owner, life long student, and an avid fitness enthusiast. I graduated with my degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia while working as a personal trainer. With over 12 years in the industry I have experience training pretty much every population: professional athletes, elderly, weight loss clients, the weekend warriors, marathon runners, ironman competitors, and youth athletes. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Kinesiologist, and a graduate of Precision Nutrition level 1. I use my education, sporting background, and life experience to be an effective coach and gain the success I have had with my clients.
I founded Inspiration Training after my move to Calgary in 2007. I spend most of my time working with, who I call the weekend warriors. Adults who play recreational sports, ski, mountain bike, compete in marathons or multi sport races.... the general population looking to stay fit and healthy in order to enjoy the fun things in life. Efficient movement skills, balance, coordination, power, mobility, strength, and aerobic conditioning are aspects I believe all programs should include in order to succeed in accomplishing any fitness goal.
I am also the founder and CEO of Blitz Events Inc., an athletic event company which hosts five annual events: the Blitz Duathlon, Lake Louise Snowshoe Fun Run& Walk, and the Run Red Deer Series. Blitz Events was created to provide my clients with non-intimidating events that he or she could train for, providing the challenge and motivation to try something new. Seeing someone cross the finish line after his/her first race, after reaching a personal best, or completing and exercise they could not do before, sometimes brings me more excitement than my client!!
